So let's take a look at the profile of one of the scholars!

Jenisse Charmes da Silva was a former student from Sao Pedro High School. She first found out about the UWC when she submitted her application to attend the IfP conference in 2012; which she unfortunately did not make it. However, that did not stop her motivation from applying for the scholarship.

Jenisse dreams of getting a better education to have her ready for University in the future. She is also interested in learning more about different cultures. She shares her moment before entering the room for the interview, in which she was really nervous. It turned out to be the opposite, as she was engaged in the conversation, she became more comfortable. 

She completely went blank when she found out that she was selected for the scholarship. She hopes that UWC can help her to be more open-minded and become a citizen of the world. 

Jenisse has advice for the future applicants. She recommends not to be afraid to be opened about our talents and skills as these what make us different from each other.
